Specialist Book Dealers

wealdenbooks

Welcome to the web site of Wealden Books.

Alfred King, proprietor of Wealden Books, has achieved what to many people must seem the ideal situation: He has successfully rejected the pressures and futility of 'the rat race' and converted his hobby into a thriving business, without losing any of his original interest and enthusiasm.

He now has the benefits of working from home, of being his own boss and doing something that he really enjoys; dealing in specialist books written on topics such as Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Essex and General British Topography.

Having traded for just over 20 years in antiquarian and out-of-print books, Wealden Books are now established as one of the foremost dealers in this area of book-trade in the country. Indeed they have now expanded to deal on an international scale with clients as far afield as Japan and Alice Springs.

As part of their service, Wealden Books will source and supply books within the above subject ranges and also titles on local history, genealogy, geology and archaeology. Alfred and his wife regularly scour the local South East England book fairs to hunt down new material. They also exhibit at such events, allowing them an opportunity to meet their customers personally.

In addition to this, a fortnightly list entitled "South East Topography" is made available to their regular clients. This enables the company to demonstrate a list of recently acquired titles in stock. However, with a stock of almost 10,000 titles, it would be hard to imagine that your choice of book could not be there!
